It does not exist any official registration for Lapps in the world, but
it is estimated it is :

Previously it was common to divide the Lapps in to four
groups, depending on their
way of living and settlement. Must of the Lapps now days live like other
people, but hunt and fishing are something they still do. Before used the
reindeers and the Lapps go and live in where ever they wanted and was a nomadic
people. Now they don`t move around, they live in houses instead of lavvu, and
the reindeers are in lattices.
Now days there are few
Lapps living the old way. It is impossible to live the exact same way, because the
roads and the cities.
